We interviewed avatarin employees about the company’s culture and the people who work there.
At avatarin, we work together as a team with a group of individuals who have different nationalities and backgrounds. Diversity is our strength. We respect one another regardless of our differences. In this “Meet our Team” series, we interviewed our team members about our culture and how we work in a diverse group of teams.

 

 

 

– What is unique about avatarin? What is your favorite 12 Be’s? 

 

P: 

avatarin’s company culture is really good. We have so many people from different countries. Working with people from different countries and different skills is very unique. We respect each other’s differences and are happy to share our thoughts. 

My favorite 12 Be’s is “Be Open”. I think if you open with others, you can share your thoughts and understand each other. And by being open, we can also help each other. We have a good friendship and everybody in avatarin is helpful, willing to stop their work and giving a helping hand. I think it is a very good environment to work.

 

F:

The environment of the team is very nice because we have different backgrounds and different professional fields. Even though the person is not in your team, we can help each other. 

So, one of my favorite 12 Be’s is “Be a Team”. When we hear someone having trouble, we can help each other by saying “Do you need help?” Or “How’s it going?”. It’s something that people did to me and something that I do to someone else. 

 

 

 

– What is the work atmosphere and culture like at avatarin? 

What do you like about the people at avatarin? 

 

P:

We have a very friendly atmosphere. When we work, we respect each person’s timeline and no one rushes you. If there is a delay or any issue, we talk and share our progress. Everyone is doing their best in their own area. No one is rushing or giving a hard time to others and no one gets stressed at the end. Everyone works together trying to fix the issue. It doesn’t matter if it’s your job or another person’s job, if someone finds anything we share our opinions and have a random chat.  

 

F:

People in avatarin are very open to new ideas. Sometimes we have problems or we need something to improve, they don’t put you on a rail. Instead, they give you tools and we can do whatever we want as long as it helps the company achieve our goals. This is nice because people work in different ways and think differently. I think this helps us to achieve the goal.

 

 

 

– Tell us what is important to you when you work and communicate with people. 

 

F:

During work days, you can get some coffee and talk to someone and you can convey something about the task or share some ideas. But when you are working from home, that is limited. Also, people usually work in different times and places, so I think simple communication is very important. Not only talking during the meeting but also talking outside of those meetings or sometimes even outside of work. I think that it helps us move our project forward and share ideas.  

 

P:

When we work on projects, communication is important and if someone needs help, we take care of each other because everyone is working towards the same goal. And to work together, I think it’s important to understand each other because the way I work is not always how someone else works. I try not to set meetings on dates when the person has too many meetings because I want to avoid miscommunication and lack of concentration. And before starting the meeting, I usually ask casual questions like “How was your weekend?” or “Where did you go on holidays?”. It’s a small thing but it relaxes our mind and it helps us make a positive communication atmosphere.
